Carterton YMCA: OSCAR

The YMCA’s goal is to provide an Afterschool Care & Recreation service which is convenient and affordable for parents/caregivers, and to provide a safe, happy and fun environment for the children.

The programme is for 5-13yr olds and runs Monday to Friday from 3-6pm.

We are CYFS approved and provide fully supervised fun activities with a quiet space provided for homework. Afternoon tea is provided for the children and we will also pick them up from school.

The aim of the programme is to meet the social and development skills needed by children, in a safe and responsive setting. There are a number of planned activities for the children, with enough free time for them to do alternative activities, whether it be painting, coloring, T.V., or playing with a ball, etc… Safety of the children always comes first, which provides peace of mind for parents/caregivers.

Enrolment forms are available onsite.
Our fees are $13.00 per child/per day for Carterton residents, $15 per child/per day for Greytown residents (includes van pick up).
